🎉 Work is going to officially start in Fforest Ganol!🎉
🌳 We’ve kicked things off with a tree safety track walk on Slippy Singletrack, Men at Work, and Rarebit Nutters (mainly looking at ash die back)
🚸 We’ll adding signage to give more info about these trails, warn other users about the tracks, and get safer crossings over the fireroads
AND we’ll finally be able to start organising dig days – we’ve got a long list of issues to fix: drainage, lack of support in corners, rutting and braking bumps, improving jumps, moving crossings over bridleways, erosion and more. So plenty to do!
This is HUGE for us, as it’s been years in the making, but it’s also one of the most highly protected woodlands – it’s classified as an ancient woodland, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
So, you can imagine the mountain of red tape we’ve had to cut through to get here!
